TERMS
Terms.
The terms we work under — the same as on the process and pricing pages, in one place.
Who we are
Deploy Studio is a websites and digital product studio based in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). These terms apply to the projects we do with you and to the use of this site.
Estimates and proposals
The site's estimator gives an indicative range — it is not a proposal.
Before we start, every project gets a written proposal with the itemized scope (screens, features, integrations), what's left out, a fixed price and a delivery date. Nothing starts before the scope, the price and the date are closed in writing.
Once you accept the proposal, we send you the contract, already signed by the studio. Payments are requested after you sign it.
Published timelines are typical for each tier or level, not guarantees: the date that counts is the one in your proposal.
Each proposal has a validity date; after it, we send you an updated one.
Scope changes
Anything outside the scope is defined and quoted separately, in writing, before it's done. The change terms are agreed up front, in the proposal.
For websites, every tier includes one consolidated round of changes.
Contract and signature
Every project has a written contract: the project terms, with the accepted proposal (Annex I), the accounts and access (Annex II), maintenance and service levels when there are any, and the data processing agreement (DPA) when your app processes personal data.
It's signed electronically: the contract reaches you already signed by the studio; you confirm your company details, read it to the end and sign with your name, declaring you have authority to bind the company, and with a 6-digit code we email you. The proof of signature is kept (see Privacy) and the PDF goes to both parties.
Change requests are made by addendum, signed the same way, with the price and the new date.
Each party's liability is limited to the total paid under the contract, except for wilful misconduct, gross negligence and what the law doesn't allow to be limited.
Prices and payments
Prices are in UAE dirhams (AED). Amounts in other currencies are indicative, at 4.3 AED per euro.
By default you pay in two milestones: 50% on award and 50% on delivery. A proposal can set a different plan — what it says is what counts.
With the first payment due on award (as by default), work starts with that payment; if the proposal sets it on delivery or on a date, work starts once you accept the proposal. You pay by card (Stripe) or bank transfer; each payment gets its own invoice.
If the proposal says so, what you pay on award is a deposit, not refunded if you withdraw. A late payment bears interest and, after the period in the contract and a written notice, can stop the work until it's paid.
Monthly maintenance (when we agree on it for an app we built): it's billed monthly in advance, on the agreed day. Before each monthly payment you get an email with the payment link and, if it stays unpaid, reminders. You pay by card or bank transfer, and each monthly payment gets its own invoice. To pause or end the maintenance, reply to the studio's email — it takes effect from the following months. Months already paid aren't refunded unless agreed in writing. No VAT.
No VAT: Deploy Studio is not registered for VAT in the UAE, so invoices don't include it.
Delivery and code
We deliver on the agreed date, under your accounts: the code with its history, the documentation, the password vault, a training session and the list of open-source licences.
Once paid in full, 100% of the code and of what was made for the project is yours. During the project the code is kept in a studio repository; at final delivery, with everything paid, it moves to your company's GitHub organization (if the contract says so, it lives there from the start). The studio's generic libraries and components stay the studio's, with a perpetual, free licence for you to use them in your app.
Your accounts
The app is published under your company's accounts, opened in your name: Apple Developer and Google Play (as an organization, with a D-U-N-S Number, which is free), GitHub and, depending on the project, hosting, the database, the domain and other services. You hold all of them and pay the providers directly — the studio neither pays nor accepts terms on your behalf.
You invite the studio with the minimum role on each platform (it's in the contract). Renewals (Apple every year, the domain) are yours; we remind you of the dates we know.
At the end, the studio leaves the accounts and hands you, in a handover certificate, the list of secrets to rotate; with maintenance, it keeps the same minimum roles until the maintenance ends.
Your app's data
When your app processes personal data and the studio has access to it (already during development), the contract includes a data processing agreement (DPA, GDPR Article 28): we process it only on your instructions and with the security measures in the annex, and at the end we delete it and give you a deletion certificate.
The site
Prices and copy published on the site may change; a proposal you've already accepted doesn't.
Governing law
These terms and our projects are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute is settled in the onshore courts of Dubai, excluding the DIFC Courts — unless the project contract sets another law or court.
If you contract as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and can always go to the courts where you live.
